The pet supply stores and animal shelters around the Hampton Roads area have the animal version of the Salvation Army’s Angel tree. The tags on the tree have the picture of a homeless shelter animal (dog, cat, rabbit, and more) that could so desperately use a few things this Christmas. Items like toys, blankets, treats, etc. A new puzzle toy could provide hours of relief from the boredom of shelter life. A soft blanket could mean an extra warm nap. And what dog wouldn't love a brand new rawhide bone all to himself. Such a simple and selfless act could really brighten the day of a homeless animal near you.
I chose this handsome fella from my local angel tree...something about him stood out, can you guess what it was? His tag asked for some adult dry dog food...you got it sweet baby!
